Last updated August 18, 2026

This policy explains what information Stuflink collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you visit our sites, join the waitlist, redeem an invite, or use the rental marketplace.

Who we are

Miara Systems Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Stuflink brand, including the website, mobile applications, waitlist, invite-only early access, store tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, redeeming an invite, listing inventory, booking a rental, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Scope

This policy covers visitors, waitlist subscribers, invited lenders and stores, renters, store staff, and anyone who contacts support. It applies to web, mobile, in-app messaging, payments, identity checks, AI features, and operational tools we use to run the marketplace.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited information from third parties that help us operate, pay, verify, and secure the marketplace.

  • Account and profile: name, email, phone number (if provided), password or authentication tokens, profile photo, notification preferences, and verification status.
  • Waitlist and invites: email address, invite codes, invited email, source or campaign tags, and whether you redeemed early access.
  • Store and inventory: business or store name, description, region, photos, listings, inventory names, quantities, status, pricing, availability, blocked dates, pickup instructions, and payout settings.
  • Booking and transaction data: rental dates, quantities, deposits, fees, booking status, receipts, cancellations, claims, messages, and dispute records.
  • Payment information: payment method tokens, billing address, payout account details, and transaction amounts processed by our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Identity and trust: email or phone verification, government-ID or selfie checks performed by our identity vendor, and limited status results (verified, failed, expired). We do not store images of identity documents.
  • Communications: support tickets, in-app messages, feedback, and records of emails or push notifications we send.
  • Device and usage data: app or browser type, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location when you grant permission, crash logs, pages or screens viewed, search queries, and diagnostic events.
  • AI inputs: listing titles, descriptions, photos, and prompts you submit to listing-assist or similar tools, plus generated suggestions.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, preference cookies, and first-party analytics needed to keep you signed in, remember settings, and understand how the Service is used.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate, secure, bill, and improve the Service, including to:

  • Create and manage accounts, stores, inventory, listings, and waitlist or invite access.
  • Facilitate bookings, payments, payouts, deposits, messaging, claims, and customer support.
  • Verify identity, reduce fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and unsafe activity, and enforce our Terms.
  • Calculate platform fees, subscription entitlements, take-rates, and tax-related reporting we are legally required to make.
  • Send transactional messages (booking updates, security alerts, invite codes, and account notices).
  • Send product or launch updates when you join the waitlist or otherwise opt in. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
  • Provide optional AI assistance for listings and store operations, and measure whether those tools work.
  • Analyze usage in aggregated or de-identified form to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop features.
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, users, and the public.

Automated tools and AI

Some features use automated processing or machine-learning tools (for example listing suggestions). Those tools can be wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing and publishing your own listings. We may use de-identified and aggregated data to improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information to train third-party foundation models.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • With other users: when you book, list, message, or complete a rental, relevant profile, booking, inventory, and message information is shared with the counterparty.
  • With service providers: hosting, databases, analytics, email, customer support, identity verification, maps or location, and payment processors (including Stripe) that process data under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to investigate fraud, claims, or safety issues, or to protect the Company, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate you, keep sessions secure, remember preferences (including invite or preview access), and measure site performance. We do not use third-party advertising cookies to sell your data. You can block cookies in your browser, but some parts of the Service will not work.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, collect fees, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, payment, and accounting requirements. Booking, payout, and claim records may be kept after account deletion where the law or our payment partners require it. Identity document images are processed by our vendor and are not stored by us.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to opt out of certain processing, or to appeal our response to a request.

  • Account settings: update profile details and notification preferences in the app or website.
  • Marketing: opt out of promotional emails using unsubscribe links or in-app controls. Transactional and security messages will still be sent.
  • Location: control location permissions in your device settings.
  • Account deletion: request deletion from Privacy settings or by emailing us. We will verify your request and delete or anonymize personal data except where retention is required.
  • Data export: email us to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Do not sell or share: we do not sell personal information as those terms are defined under California law. If that changes, we will provide a required opt-out.

If you are in Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy rights, contact us to exercise them. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law allows.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong password and keeping your login credentials confidential.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and you must be 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account, list inventory, or book a rental. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us information so we can delete it.

International transfers

The Company is based in North America. If you use the Service from other regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, Canada, or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy in the Service and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
